Where we started

Vortex is a company based in the Geelong region that started in 2009. The company was established by Simon Hansen who is Managing Director of Vortex Electrical Pty Ltd.

Prior to establishing Vortex, Simon worked for various large commercial electrical enterprises working on some of the largest projects in Victoria. Since moving to Armstrong Creek, Vortex has gone from strength to strength. What started out as a partnership has grown into a business which is a leader in its field.

Where we started

Vortex is a leading electrical solar supply and installation company with a range of services and expertise that is unique in the industry.

We are unique in attitude and operation. Our dedicated team works collaboratively as one to ensure that every customer gets the best possible return on their outlay.

A key feature of our business is the after-care service that we provide. Every customer is given an individual personal account number. This allows both the customer and Vortex to monitor and review the electrical power being produced and generated into the power system, so that any performance issues can be quickly identified and resolved 

Although we specialize in solar design and installation for power generation and battery storage, Vortex also carries out other types of electrical work including; maintenance and installation of all power and lighting systems, power board upgrades, energy efficient lighting, electrical data and communication fit outs, closed circuit television (cctv) and security systems. Basically, anything electrical.

Our Values

Our values are very important to us. They underpin how we interact with our customer and the principals and practices that govern us. Our intention is to ensure that the customer is happy with the work carried out and will promote us to friends and colleagues in a positive way,

• Vortex will only use the best electrical equipment and materials available. We will not use any inferior products that do not meet our high standards
• Vortex believes in a sustainable future, therefore we will always give the customer the best advice and an honest appraisal on whether a solar solution is the best option.
• Vortex will always give a very competitive quote based on the total cost of the job. There will be no hidden costs 
• Our work will always be carried out to the highest standard without taking any short cuts
• Safety to our staff and the customer is of paramount importance. Therefore, all work will be carried out in a safe environment to ensure that the health and safety of our staff, customer and property is not put at risk
• All staff are required to maintain the level of competency required in order to meet the requirements of the Electrical Licensing Commission. This includes ongoing training and upskilling.

In upholding these values, we believe that our staff will be happy to come to work each day and perform the job to the highest possible level in a safe environment. This in turn will lead to the installation of a solar solution that leaves the customer knowing they made the right decision in selecting Vortex.
